THANKSGIVEAWAY

In honor of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, I am hosting a GIVEAWAY! Yippee!!!

I call it: Thanksgiveaway.

If you've been reading this blog for a while, you may remember the amazing brooch that I bought as a birthday present to myself earlier this year. It is called "Autumn Kiss" and it is by an artisan on Etsy whose work I greatly admire. TinaTarnoff is an artist whose mediums include the intricate and ancient art of Papercut. I stumbled upon her Etsy shop one day and fell in love. There are some pieces of art that you see that touch you and draw you to them. That is how I feel with her artwork, especially the "Autumn Kiss" piece. As you know, I ended up purchasing the "Autumn Kiss" brooch for myself and I've worn it several times since then. I always receive many compliments on it and when people find out how it is a miniature work of papercut art, they are even more enamored of it.

Fortunately for all those admirers of the brooch, Tina has been generous enough to let me host a giveaway in which the prize is the necklace version of the piece:

The rules are as follows:

1.) The giveaway is open to all US residents.
2.) You may enter up to three times by commenting on THIS POST.
3.) Of your three comments, one of them must tell me your favorite item in Tina's Etsy Shop
4.) The deadline to post your comments is midnight on Thanksgiving Day. I will announce the winner on Black Friday here on the blog. I will also email the winner (if possible).
5.) If I do not hear confirmation from the winner within 48 hours, I will pick a new winner.

Any questions? Happy Thanksgiveaway!

YAY! Awesome! Than you for hosting such a great giveaway!!!!! Her stuff is seriously amazing that I could not pick a favorite, but I narrowed it down to The Peter Pan piece, the tightrope earrings and the marie antoinetter locket! Everything is beautiful though!!!

Renee - this is a fantastic give away! I love Tina's art. The paper cuts are gorgeous, and the idea of making them into jewelery is genius! I do love the Autumn Kiss necklace you are giving away is it so classic! Another piece that caught my eye is the "Being Isadora" necklace. I just find that image so peaceful and simple which to me translates into elegance. I can see myself wearing it with a classic strapless black dress, 50's inspired heels and sipping a martini - extra dirty 3 olives! :) It would make the perfect New Year's Eve outfit!

I just recently found both this blog and Tina's art. I studied abroad in China, so I am familiar with paper cutting, but Tina's work is such and interested use of the medium. It looks so modern and so charmingly vintage at the same time. My favorite is the Peter Pan pendant - it's so iconic and imaginative - but Autumn Kiss was a very close second.

Thanks for posting and I will enjoy reading more of your blog. You have lovely taste!

A Thanksgiveaway is a GREAT title and a GREAT idea. I have seen some of Tina's work before, as a good friend received note cards for Christmas last year. Her work is beautiful and a bit of a Victorian throwback. I especially like her pendants and earrings; however, my favorite is the PETER PAN, diecut. What a great idea, Renee T.!

Friday night Renee gave me the scarf-let I ordered from her Etsy shop. It is AWESOME!!!! I am going to try to find a way to post a pic of me wearing it on Renee's Blog (Can I do that Nee?) To all Renee's readers, keep reading and posting! As much as I like to think that I can hold my own fashion wise, there have been many times that I have NEEDED Renee's expertise! Love you Nee!

This necklace is just adorable, I love it!! After checking out Tina's amazing shop (for like, hours) I decided my favorite piece is the Girl on a Swing pearl choker. Thanks for this opportunity, Renee!

Personally, I really like both Autumn Kiss and Girl on a Swing, but Girl on a Swing edges out as my favorite. I am thinking of buying that pendant for my mom for christmas - she has a simple swing in her yard and loves it.

Cheers - happy thanksgiving!

My favorite is the Girl on a Swing Brooch! I think the Autumn Kiss cards would make really sweet wedding invites (too bad I'm not engaged!).

My mother used to have papercut silhouettes of my brother and I on the wall when I was growing up-- it's an art medium I've always admired.

Thanks for hosting the giveaway! Happy Thanksgiving to you!
