Doesn't it feel good to look at beautiful things, knowing they were also carefully handmade? Somehow, pieces from Etsy and other (masterfully) handcrafted pieces just seem so much more special to me. I'm always willing to spend a little more on them than I would something similar in a department or chain store. Also, Etsy gives me great ideas and inspiration for making some of my own pieces. They often don't come out quite as beautiful as the original, but it also helps me learn a little more about my craft.
Have you spent some time on Etsy lately? Leave a comment and tell me about your favorite Etsy shops. I'm always looking for new ones! Have an awesome day!
Thanks for sharing this goodies Renee!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was that necklace, "Hard Candy", I love chunky and multi-layered necklaces!
That handbag is adorable as well, such clean style!
It's been ages since the last time I spend some time on Etsy, such a shame. It gives such a great energy and inspiration, like you mentioned.
I love Etsy! So after reading your post I found this AWESOME bag on Etsy, http://www.etsy.com/listing/69836467/vintage-orange-and-red-corduroy

That scarflette is so original and such a beautiful color. Because it's not a full-on scarf, you could totally wear it through the spring, right?
ReplyDeleteBeth- I would definitely wear it through spring without a second thought. Good call.
ReplyDeleteMel- I will check out that listing. :)
Do you remember the bag in this post? The "Anita" Leather bag? How did I miss this? I need to have it! UGH, must save up!
